Ipswich Sports Club, Suffolk

Lights, camera – it’s been all action at Ipswich Sports Club this week with the opening of a Game4Padel pop-up court at their Henley Road site. Planning will now be sought for four canopy-covered courts at the Club’s Tuddenham Road site – set to become the largest covered multi-court padel venue in East Anglia.

ITV Anglia sent a news crew to find out what padel will mean to the Club and to local players – the court can be booked by non-members too. Radio Suffolk and The Ipswich Star have also covered this week’s launch.

Head Tennis Coach at Ipswich Sports Club, Chris Daynes, has reported a fantastic response to the court from members across all the other racket sports they offer (squash, tennis and racketball) and from many players trying a racket sport for the first time and getting hooked!

James Rose, G4P’s National Development Manager, has been bowled over by the enthusiasm and support from all the Heads of Sports at the Club. Roll on their permanent courts!

Book a court time via the MATCHi app and webpage.
