Last week James Rose was on site at Withdean Leisure Centre to open the first padel court in Brighton & Hove. All week he and Karen Hazzard welcomed players to hosted sessions and ‘come and try’. There was a real buzz and energy around the court opening with social groups quickly starting to form and some 78 players (so far) signing up to the Brighton Padel Pioneer offer.
On Thursday James and Michael had the pleasure of welcoming Alan Robins, Mayor of Brighton & Hove, to the court for an introductory game. A big thank you to Giles Brook, Head Tennis Coach, and the Freedom Leisure Team for all their support and help. We are excited to see the Padel community grow and to helping them create a fantastic social environment for local players.
The court is open to the public and can be accessed directly from Withdean Sports Complex's car park via a gate access system and a code provided with the booking confirmation.
You can still book a free court until 4 December if you want to give padel a try.
Or go directly to MATCHi online booking here.
